Corncockle is a native wildflower that is now nearly extinct in the wild. It is a real beauty with prolific mauve blooms on tall stems. This is a great plant for pollinators and for cut flowers.
Contains approximately 100 seeds.
Seeds and plants are toxic if eaten in large quantities.
Growing Guide
Corncockle grows to be around 70cm - 100cm tall, it can be beneficial to add support while growing or growing among other annuals to 'prop' it up. Choose a sunny site with free-draining soil.
Sow direct from March to May, or from September to October for earlier Spring blooms.
Prepare your soil by removing weeds and raking to a fine tilth.
Pick Corncockle blooms to encourage more flower production, the more you pick the more flowers are produced. Corncockle self-seed readily.
